Waste Removal Screw

A 4.2-metre stainless auger for a recycling plant — profiled, formed, welded and balanced in-house, delivered in three weeks.

Stainless steel waste removal screw conveyor fabricated by CDK Services Wakefield

The customer's existing screw had worn through after years of abrasive service. Rather than wait months for an OEM replacement, we reverse-engineered it from the worn unit: each flight disc was profiled from 316 stainless, press-formed to the correct helix, and welded to a machined shaft with sequenced runs to keep the assembly true.

The finished screw was checked for run-out between centres, dressed, and delivered ready to drop in — with a drawing pack recorded so the next replacement is a phone call, not a project.
